Gallery North is excited to present Up Close In Color featuring Alice Owen and her wonderful watercolor and mixed media paintings. The vibrant collection of original works will be on display throughout the month of July with the artist in attendance at the artist's reception on Saturday, July 10th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. and at the Edmonds Art Walk on July 15th from 5:00 to 8:00p.m.

Alice Owen has been active in the Edmonds arts community since moving from Bellevue in 1993. Awards include those from the 1996 Edmonds in Bloom poster competition and this year's Miniature Show at Gallery North. Alice has been the featured artist at the Edmonds Library, Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation Gallery, Summer Concert in the Park and the Driftwood Theatre, Main Street Gallery, and Semantics Gallery. 

As well as exhibiting extensively at the Edmonds Arts Fair since 1994, Alice has participated in many Puget Sound area juried shows including the Northwest Watercolor Society’s Annuals, Puget Sound Annual (Frye Museum), Bellevue Arts and Crafts Fairs and Women Painters of Washington's annual shows. Alice was also featured in the American Artist Magazine’s “Watercolor” issue, 2003. Her memberships include Signature memberships in the Northwest Watercolor Society and the Montana Watercolor Society. She is also a juried member of Women Painters of Washington.

Up Close In Color will be on display from July 1st through the 31st.
