Bonnie AuBuchon, a well-known Edmonds
artist and teacher, will showcase her diverse talents as Featured
Artist at Gallery North in July. Her exhibition titled
Detours will include her extremely skillful metal
designs in jewelry and enameling as well as her beautifully rendered
paintings, monoprints, and linocuts. AuBuchon states, “I have been designing jewelry, practicing with many other media, and teaching art for 30 years. Art and nature have always been a conjoined inspiration in my life. I am continually inspired to experiment with new creative ways to integrate the tendrils, spirals, and geometry found in nature into my 3D and 2D art. While my works reflect a detour of sorts from my mainstay jewelry design business, they derive from the same underlying inspiration.” |

Building on her BFA in Metal Design
from the UW, AuBuchon has perfected her custom jewelry designs using
precious metals and gems. In addition, she has taught art to
children and adults in various community venues as well as in her
Edmonds studio. Her work has also been exhibited and won awards in
regional art shows. |
| “Art is my passion and I love sharing that passion with people of all ages because I believe that art is a lesson in success.” | |
