I love the Northwest scenery, and I am an avid hiker and backpacker.  Watercolors are the perfect medium for capturing the scenery and they are so transportable.  I started bringing my paints on backpacking trips.  It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the scenery. 

        My original inspiration came from the beauty of the mountains, but now I paint other subjects as well.  I love to paint the architecture in Seattle,  the historic buildings as well as people’s homes.  I also enjoy painting animals (cats, dogs, birds, turtles) and try to bring out their character.
