"I grew up in Jeddah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then traveled to Florence, Italy  where I received a degree in Fine Art.  I started my art career by painting portraits of the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia.  I then moved to Washington State to surround myself with nature.  My work is both my journey and my adventure.  The landscape that surrounds me every day is what I choose to paint.

I have been creating artwork over the past ten years, becoming professional in the last five years.  I work primarily with Oil and Color Pencil, although I enjoy “playing” with other mediums such as watercolor, photography, and mix-media.  My favorite subjects include landscape and still life.  No matter what my subject matter, the most interesting thing to me is the use of light to make each painting have a message.  I paint what moves me and want to create the thoughts and emotions connected with my subject. I enjoy creating work which has meaning on multiple layers, from the title to the actual subject matter. I also accept commissions for most subjects. Being an artist is a way of life for me, a road I travel everyday."
