Gallery North 's First Annual Miniature Show
March 2010
 
 

    Gallery North will be hosting its own Miniature Show in March 2010, inviting local and regional artists to compete. The show will be open to miniature and small paintings of any theme and should meet the requirements of the prospectus (see below).

     As part of the competition, cash awards will be made for the top paintings and all accepted paintings will be on display at Gallery North through the month of March as space allows.

Prospectus for 2010 - First Annual GALLERY NORTH   Miniature/Small Painting Art-Show

Dates:            Featured Show - March 1st - March 28th

                        Artists' Reception - March 7th from 1-4 pm

                        Edmonds Art Walk - March 18th from 5-8 pm

Awards:

Best in Show $200

Best Miniature $50

Best Small Painting $50

People’s Choice Award

 

Entry Fees:  1-3 entries $15

 

Rules of Entry:

  1. All 2D media is eligible (no photography).

 

  1. Entries can be miniatures up to 5X7 inches framed or small paintings up to 11X14 inches framed, or a mixture of both.  The suggested minimum price for miniatures is $75 and $100 for small works.

 

  1. All works must be for sale.

 

  1. Only original art works will be accepted. Entries must not be copies, derivates or based on other copyright works.

 

  1. Gallery North will deduct a 30% commission from all works sold.

 

  1. Gallery North reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet the above specifications or is deemed unacceptable for a family gallery.

 

  1. All accepted entries will be on display at Gallery North as space allows.

 

Entry Delivery

  • Entries and fees may be hand delivered to the gallery on February 20th or 21st or mailed (accompanied by return postage) to Gallery North, reaching us no later than February 21, 2010.

 

  • All art work must be framed and ready for hanging.  No brackets, exposed glass edges or saw tooth hangers. Please carefully package all art work to avoid damage.

 

  • All art work must remain in the gallery for the duration of the show.

 

  • Art work can be picked up on March 28th. Art work mailed in will be mailed back ASAP.

 

Liability

We suggest artists carry their own insurance.  While every precaution will be taken to avoid damages, all artists who enter this show agree that GALLERY NORTH and its members will not be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred.
