Welcome to
the Edmonds Plein Air painting event! Participating artists will be
painting some of the most beautiful scenery located in and around
Edmonds, WA and could have the opportunity to see their work hung as
part of our August Edmonds Plein Air Exhibition. This is a month long event, so there is plenty of
painting time ahead. The event procedures are below. Best wishes and

Prospectus for 2010 –
Plein Air Edmonds Painting Event
1.
Organized plein air painting dates and gallery hours are:
*July 4th is very busy in Edmonds due to
the parade. It is better to paint later in the afternoon. Artists are encouraged, but not required to paint on
several weekends. We are looking for high visibility of our Plein Air
painters and this should increase the interest in our August show.
2.
Artists will check-in at Gallery North before going out to paint.
You will be asked for a signed Hold Harmless Agreement (see below) and
contact information. We will provide you with a Plein Air banner and
Plein Air Exhibition postcards to promote the August show. We will also
have a map with suggested painting locations.
3.
For safety and fun artists are encouraged, but not required to paint
with other artists. Gallery
North will help assist in the formation of painting groups.
Please bring your cell phone
if possible in case of an emergency or if the gallery needs to contact
you.
4.
Gallery North will be accepting paintings for the August exhibition
starting Sunday July 25th and ending Wednesday, July 28th
during regular gallery hours.
Each entry must be accompanied by an entry form and should be packaged
to prevent damage. Forms
will be available at the gallery and on our website at
www.gallery-north.com.
5.
All participants are invited to the Plein
Air Exhibition opening reception on August 1st from 1:00-4:00
p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Hold Harmless
Agreement I understand that I am participating in this event
at my own risk and will not hold Gallery North responsible for any
